Accomplishments:

Heli Canada Adventures was selected and participated in The Canadian Tourism Commission's Eco-Adventure Tourism Best Business Practice Tour May 26 to June 4 2000. With 14 other adventure tourism operators from across Canada, we visited 9 adventure tourism host operators from Sudbury, Ontario to Saguenay, Quebec discussing best business practices. It was an honor to represent British Columbia and share our own best business practices, and to explore and implement new best business practices. Heli Canada Adventures would like to thank all of our productive team members for your hard work, dedication and persistence. These superb efforts, is what made it possible to receive recognition for all our best business practices.

Canadian Avalanche Rescue Dog Association - CARDA

Big Eddy has completed 3 years of training by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and CARDA in January 2002, to be an operational member of CARDA as an Avalanche Dog. Big Eddy comes from a long line of Avalanche Dogs, is very well trained and enjoys the skiing and hiking.

Big Eddy is sponsored by Hills Pet Nutrition - Science Diet, flies in helicopters and rides skidoos. He is very friendly and you will be meeting him if Bob is guiding you either in the summer or winter.

Your Helicopter Crews:
Your helicopter crews are of the finest in the world. We contract two Companies in Revelstoke, Arrow Helicopters and Selkirk Mountain Helicopters.

Arrow Helicopters - Revelstoke Base

Arrow Helicopters takes pride in the fact that their pilots and engineers are some of the best in the industry. The foundation of Arrow Helicopters success has been built on the skills of these individuals.

Arrow Helicopters' Revelstoke base manager, Matthew Callaghan, will do the majority of the flying when contracted by Heli Canada Adventures. Their base engineer will look after the aircraft maintenance. Both have exceptional qualifications.

Matthew currently has over 5000 hours of mountain flying experience. In 1999 he was awarded an accomplished accident free safety award. Matthew is also a certified Parks Canada Mountain Rescue Pilot. In the event that Matthew is unavailable, back-up pilots are all equally gifted pilots, and each with more than 5000 flight hours.

The helicopter engineer is a full-time licensed aircraft maintenance engineer for Arrow Helicopters in Revelstoke. He maintains the aircraft to standards that meet or exceed Ministry of Transport regulations, and they systematically inspect each helicopter at the completion of every flight day.
