"When it comes to getting high...you guys are 'da bomb'!"

-- Vien and Michael Schwinn, Hawaii USA

"A very addictive experience, this is the 3rd year we have enjoyed the knowledge and expert guiding Heli Canada provides. We just keep coming back for more!

For anyone who enjoys the mountains, this should not be missed. Bob will provide an adventure to suit any ability."

-- Summer 2007 Ethel and Charlie Thomson, Scotland Return Guests

"The most exciting part of the trip was walking on a glacier at the top of the mountain. I had fun learning how to get in and out of a helicopter. A really special part of the trip was getting to know a rescue dog, Big Eddy. I liked hearing and seeing the water falls. I loved the bread and cookies at lunch. It was a great day!"

-- Hollis Kool, CA USA age 10

"Debbie is a GREAT cook"

-- Summer 2006 Ethel and Charlie Thomson, Scotland Return Guests

"Set your goals and Bob and his team will help you achieve them in a very enjoyable and memorable experience."

-- Summer 2006 Ethel and Charlie Thomson, Scotland Return Guests

"Riding in a helicopter was really exciting. I was surprised by how beautiful the top of the mountain was. We spotted a wolverine on the glacier. I was glad that Big Eddy came along. He was big and friendly and was so happy to be with us there. Lunch tasted great and had allot of variety. I liked learning how to walk on a glacier. I want to come back next year."

-- Miles Kool, CA USA age 11

"It was amazing to be in a place filled only with the sound of the wind, water falling, and glaciers cracking. The scenery was spectacular. Our guide oriented us to safety at all times – from the importance of protecting eyes and skin from the sun to proper hiking technique and helicopter safety. He involved our children in a team approach to everything. It was a first hand learning experience on glaciers, geology, and conservation. Our picnic lunch was an innovative and delicious four course meal, on china, of chilled soup, fresh salads, stuffed chicken, artisanal breads, and a dessert and cheese tray. All in all, a wonderful and unique experience."

-- Beth Martin – Kool, CA USA

"We have heli hiked before with other companies and now we know what we have been missing – Heli Canada Adventures and their Diamond Cut packages!!! We were looked after by Bob and his guiding team in first class fashion. The four days of adventures were fun, safe, very educational and saw us alone in spectacular scenery where trails were not found – only pristine wilderness and our group. We were able to mix up heli hiking and heli mountaineering during our stay and even though we have never mountaineered before, we were able to summit two peaks under the professional guides and now we are hooked on mountaineering! Above all, we were very impressed with their environmental steward ship and how they look after the flora and fauna. The accommodations and food were 5 star and the ambiance was cozy and warm. We will be back next year for sure and we suggest that you should book your next adventure with Heli Canada Adventures where they treat you as a guest – not a number!!"

-- Heather Ann French, New York, USA

"Having Heli Hiked before in BC, we had a good idea of what to expect. We were wrong about our expectations. Heli Canada Adventures exceeded our expectations and sent us home with memories to share with our friends and families. From initial contact with Heli Canada Adventures to seeing us off to our plane, they helped us design our helicopter vacation, ensured we arrived with everything and made our 4 days in the pristine wilderness fun, safe and very enjoyable. Even though they were a little more expensive than other companies, we know see why: you are looked after for all your needs and the guides, pilots and all the other staff are very personable, professional and interested in you, the guest. We highly suggest paying a few more bucks!! Great job HCA!! We booked again!"

-- Terry Peerson, Arizona USA

"Our second helicopter vacation with Heli Canada Adventures was amazing from trip organization to the adventure – heli mountaineering. We were both scared of heights and always wanted to summit peaks but we were unsure! Our first adventure with HCA was splendid filled days of Heli Hiking in wild flower meadows while gazing upwards to the mountain peaks. Our guides encouraged us to come back for a Heli Mountaineering adventure and are we glad we did!! We are no longer scared of heights and we now see that we can scale a peak and take in the vistas from the roof of the world. For 4 days, we were in the wilds and all the time we were safe and summiting peaks we only dreamed of. Each evening, we were flown back to the lodge for first class meals, massages and comfy accommodations. We booked again for the next year and we hope to see you too!"

-- Fred and Angie Becker, CA USA Return Guests

"We had such a great time wandering around in the mountains with you all, it was fantastic to hike with an experienced and professional guide who had such a love and appreciation for the environment around us, we will be coming back to do this again for sure"

-- Alana Beazley and Simon Luke, Australia

We will remember this day for the rest of our lives!

-- Ethel & Charlie Thomson, Aberdeen, Scotland

Lynn and I had hoped for the adventure vacation of a lifetime...and Heli Canada Adventures exceeded even our wildest dreams. For four days we zipped into the mountains on a smooth, efficient helicopter ride and then tackled awesome challenges. Two amazing days of long, multi-pitch climbing provided us with the opportunity to apply rock skills in gorgeous alpine settings. Two fantastic days on a glacier allowed us to learn snow and ice techniques while crossing crevasses, moats and reaching un-named summits. Our guide was world class, a real professional, and we felt safe while learning new skills. Finally, Bob's friendly dedication to our needs made sure everything went smoothly. He warned us this would be addictive, and he was right. Well be back!

-- Lynn and Paul Leroux, Boston, USA

-- Ellen Miller, New York, USA

I was thrilled that despite being unable to walk far, I was still able to enjoy the spectacular mountain scenery and wildflowers. The extra helicopter time at the end of the heli picnic was a great add-on...what a ride!

Had a great time and would gladly recommend Heli Canada Adventures to anyone!

-- Ron Johnson, Colorado, USA

Fantastic pure wilderness adventure provided by Bob Shafto and Mark Austin at Heli Canada. Great mountain scenery amplified by the cross country backpacking & no human trace style camping.

My original impression of backpacking was fly to a lake and hike back by trail. Heli backpacking is and offers much more: scenery, exercise, exploring, geology, climbing experience, camaraderie, and all off trail hiking - Great Experience!

-- Garry McElderry, Colorado, USA, 59 years young

Everything from the hotel to the helicopter to the fantastic food in the mountains was pre - arranged and done with total client satisfaction in mind. Thanks for the great trip guys!

-- Bram Rossman

I had an awesome time [heli-snowshoeing] in the Monashees with Heli Canada. The mountains are wild and impressive and the views fantastic.  This is a great alpine experience. My guide made certain I had a good time, participated in the whole experience and did everything safely. I was impressed with Heli Canada's flexibility and willingness to meet my needs for a between seasons adventure.

Bob Shafto happily answered my many questions and provided great advice on everything from gear to scenic routes for my drive to Revelstoke and the best place to stop for lunch!

If you want to experience the Canadian alpine environment without the tourist crowds, and have a great time, I recommend the Heli Canada experience.

To Whom It May Concern:

Heli Canada Adventures provided a good solid learning experience in a fantastic outdoor environment. The skill level of the guides was high, and the places they took us were well chosen and safe.

I wanted to simply take a group of work colleagues into the outdoors and have an experience that put everyone at the same level, regardless of title. The experience of the participants varied and the guides at Heli Canada Adventures did a good job at catering to the varied skill levels. There is value in seeing co-workers competence in areas other than the regular workplace. The program we participated in, proved to the members of our group the importance of teamwork. These lessons can not be taught behind a desk or under fluorescent lights.

The product team that participated in this program has traveled all over the world in the past five years, but the trip we participated in last winter was educational, fun and long lasting.

Sincerely,
Ian P. Yurdin

To whom it may Concern, or who may be concerned with safe alpine fun:

Our small group needed to know the basics of avalanche safety, without investing too much time as most courses demand today.  The 'Introductory Recreational Avalanche Course' was more than perfect to fit our needs.  In the matter of a weekend, the gifted instructors [at Heli Canada Adventures] supplied us with the confidence we needed for assessing backcountry conditions. Anyone can read a book on avalanche analysis, but nothing provides a better lesson than being taught in the heart of the backcountry.

With the mountains as our classroom, the instructors provided us with step-by-step methods of snow assessment, route finding, and search and rescue techniques which were practiced and understood in the ideal environment. We were not sure if the instructors had ever been indoors, for they have such an uncanny sense of their surroundings. They gave every effort to convey these unbelievable skills.

A fun, but humbling weekend gave us a new respect for mother nature.  We now know what precautions to take to guard against incident, and what actions are needed to deal with an emergency.  These skills will be held for life, and best of all they were bequeathed in a fun, professional, and clever manner.

A must see trip. The snow in July was an added bonus! The sights were absolutely breath-taking. Great variety in pace for people 10-75 or older! I will return again in the future.

-- Melanie Ryan, GORP Travel, Colorado USA
