All you need is a moderate fitness level, and to be comfortable with cross country and downhill skiing. If you're already hooked on powder ski touring, this is your chance to explore untracked vistas in the company of like-minded adventurers! We welcome those who prefer snowboarding adventures to skiing, but strongly suggest split boards, plus good powder snowboarding skills if joining a skiing group.
You can expect to be skiing or snowboarding three to six miles a day, with an elevation change up to 4000 feet, but of course Heli Canada Adventures tailors the distance and adventures to your preferences. Heli Canada Adventures offers two- to four-day powder ski touring or powder snowboarding packages, with or without accommodation, and you can even design your own powder ski touring or powder snowboarding backcountry adventures. If you're traveling as a group, Heli Canada Adventures can design ski touring, skiing and snowboarding adventures to fit your objectives (we have clients willing to join other groups to go skiing or snowboarding in different areas, meet new friends and share costs, so feel free to contact us with your ideas).

Winter's snowfall in Rogers Pass, part of Canada's Glacier National Park, is the stuff of stories. Deep powder in wooded glades and alpine bowls, icefields that have carved their way over these peaks for centuries...and Heli Canada Adventures guides you into this pristine wilderness, for ski touring or snowboarding adventures that will be the winter vacation of a lifetime.
Powder ski touring lets you explore deep into the mountains, using normal downhill skis with a special binding that pivots at the toe of the boot and can lock down the heel. Sticky skiing skins let you climb with ease, while the heel lock makes downhill skiing a breeze. And what a feeling: you float and turn as the powder rises up to meet you. If you're snowboarding, you'll feel like you're surfing the snow!
If you've chosen Heli Canada Adventures' accommodation option, you'll head to the welcoming Rogers Pass Best Western Hotel each evening. There, you can enjoy the hot tub, fine food...and perhaps a hot toddy while sharing stories of the day's ski touring or snowboarding adventures!
